Lewd Acts are really good at coming in fast and strong and leaving an impression. This album came out a few years ago and the band hasn't stood out amongst the late hardcore revival. There's a little bit of Burst in there and if you listen to "Nightcrawlers" you'll hear the "Prey On Life" era vibe that didn't really make a substantial reoccurrence in later releases of their Relapse catalogue. Lewd Acts are a straight to the point, meat and potatoes type band, and convey it promisingly on "Black Eye Blues." They come up with a quick, raunchy album for the miserably pissed and hopefully vigilant.
