THE RECENTLY ADDED

Continent - "Miscreation"

There's a way to do this and push through the filler that parades a cluttered scene. Continents focus on their combined unity to stand out amongst their peers. Aside from a solid rhythm section, the drums have to be seen to be believed. Some of the double bass here sounds so fabricated that it's almost pushing the production a little too far. There's a fine line between friendly studio magic and depicting the impossible. That's the biggest concern. With most aggressive music catering to the live show, what are we doing producing sounds that aren't possible to recreate in a live environment? Continents are fun for the commuter in all of us, but for those who make it out of the house, I'll be surprised if their review will mirror any insight from the actual album.
