Fireworks are unique in the realm of pop punk in that they aren't trying to mix genres and cross over to alternative or infuse it with a jab of hardcore. Oh, Common Life, although not directly apparent, mirrors Saves The Day's subtleness. Passionate, meaningful and creative songs are tracked back to back to generate a compelling listen. The guitars are smooth and the beats are relevant, but it's really about the complete album on this one. These guys sound like a BAND. Not someone's studio magic, not some singer's hidden agenda, or a sorcerer on the axe. Straight forward rock that can be enjoyed from start to finish. Pick this up if you're interested in hearing a group of dudes jam and record it with proper quality.
