If you're looking for more of what Bring Me The Horizon accomplished in Suicide Season look no further than Animal's brutal EP Instinct. Where BMTH has progressed into streamlined arena rock approach, Animal takes the noise to another level by pounding the listener over the head with ferocious production and intense layering. The vocals at times are simply not human, and alongside the pounding drums and buzz saw distortion, Animal leaves everything but your face in order, going straight for the jugular.
It'll be interesting to see how this captures itself over time, and if the band continues to evolve just what they'll be able to accomplish. With their current efforts putting them ahead of much of the beatdown and djenty competition, it's not much that's getting in the way of Animal taking it to the next level.
