THE RECENTLY ADDED

Modern Earth "Landscapes"

The current rock found on Modern Earth's Landscapes is worthy enough to make an entry. A mix between alternative banger and a mature version of Polar Bear Club, the album rocks furiously for four tracks before taking a breather in "Remorser" and slowly lurking out of "Neighbourhood." Why it's spelled that way or what it even matters is irrelevant, but the group manage to take a traditional sound and replicate it well enough to cut themselves a slice in the pepperoni pie known as American alternative rock. While not entirely forgettable, the band lacks the umph and pazzaz to be completely necessary.
