THE RECENTLY ADDED

Rooks "Infinite III"

It's been a hot minute since this web only act dropped another nuclear audio assault, and it's with little marketing that got this bad boy onto the radar. Why Rooks hasn't been able to do what Traitors or even Black Tongue have done since their debut is beyond everything, but it could be one of those instances where the kids just dig the music and could care less about the hustle.
The album opener, while sluggish and overwhelming, sets a proper undertone for the album with its dissonant clock chime creating an eerie feel on the background. As for the tracks that follow, it's pretty much a pummeling corporation set out to draft subsidiaries. Light leads, ruthless thumping from the kit and an underbelly undertone of a vocalist make for a truly exceptional EP. Here's to Rooks leaving their neighborhood by the time they decide to drop Infinite IV.
