Right out of the Harms Way school of thought, with Deathwish's stamp of approval, Gatecreeper lurk about just enough to make their brutal hardcore leave a brand. With dark vocal delivery alongside sludge-like beatdown, it's very easy to get drawn in to the brutality.
Comparable to The Blinding Light's accomplishment on The Ascension Attempt (sans the Tom Araya type of voice) there's very little not to like here. While the band hardly strays from its brash delivery, the super tight run time and punctual tracking make Sonoran Depravation truly worth your time before the year is up.
