Unlike Job For A Cowboy who took their satirical name to exponential heights, Headwound don't really sound that good. The riffs could be tuned lower and the vocals can certainly receive a haircut and still feel solid about their efforts. What obviously drew attention to the band aside from the cover and their name was their comparison to scene heavyweights The Black Dahlia Murder. While this is certainly nowhere near that caliber, it's obvious somebody in marketing is taking the initiative. It's just unfortunate that these guys really haven't gone anywhere since this album dropped back in 2012.
