Just like Renounced's criminally overlooked album last year, Hollower falls behind as a close second with a proper metalcore release that ties in subtle Misery Signals elements and key pieces of lost hardcore that rejuvenate an exhausted scene. This is what August Burns Red must sound like to many, but without the wankery leads and blah blah lyrics, Hollower have everything in their arsenal to take the title belt. The synths and wizardry are a delight, honing in on great trails that lead each track into the next. This one's a must have.
