Featuring members of The Red Chord, Trap Them, Hatebreed and Converge, you'd expect some catastrophic hardcore meltdown that rips off every ear lobe in its vicinity. Instead what we get on this nine minute single is atmospheric droning on that blathers to its finish line. Comparable to Pelican's most underwhelming moments, here's to hoping the rest of Brannon's "solo" album picks up a bit. While it is lush and deep, and certainly paints a space with mental imagery, this isn't what anyone expected here, and is severely disappointing.
