While She Sleeps "You Are We"

Out of the gate, the band sounds like they're going to displace the metalcore throne and set a new precedence.  The first minute of the title track is so convincing, that it almost lands the band in essential territory. Then slowly, it seems as if the giant machine takes over the band, and a formulaic sound plagued with digitization and big choruses loiter every track like a well known equation, or even Linkin Park's baby brother. Balanced out every time, four minutes and change in length, the album becomes routine making repeat listens a serious errand. While "Empire Of Silence," "Settle Down Society," and "Hurricane" have what it takes to jolt a big summer festival crowd, the rest of the album that's built around these tracks tends to overstay its welcome.
