This is just what local band sound like now. Standard chon-chon breakdowns and a vocal melody here and there. Life Barrier do just enough to get noticed but struggle to shake off the stigma of yet another scene clone. They're not exactly reinventing the wheel, and what they're doing they're doing well, but there's just too much if this stuff out there right now. "For(Giver)" is straight out of The Amity Affliction's playbook, and it's clear the band are huge fans of the genre and adore Volumes and Parkway Drive. Those are big compliments to pay, but it's going to take a lot more than just "sounding like somebody" to sustain people's interest in this play space.
