In a former life, The Movielife had two great records and then fell off the face of the Earth. It seems like the band was set on getting these ten tracks out of their system, because they all sound as legitimate as a group's smash debut record. The band is highly energetic and writes some great alternative rock that lines up next to an aggressive version of Lit and early Weezer. It's nice to see the act get props from Rise Records, which wasn't so prominent in 2003 when The Movielife was supposed to take over the world.
