Alongside Krimewatch and Fury, there seems to be dozens of other acts trying to bring back the frail aggro punk sound. While Primal Rate is perhaps a little more metal than the other two hardcore acts, there’s no shortage of homages to the great sound of the classic approach captured with modern production. This record is very brief but super punctual and is worth a few spins. Even though the band is efficient in their delivery, the fact that there are countless other bands clawing in the same space makes this one slightly forgettable.
