It’s hard to believe this is even the same band that gave us the infamously egregious “Wife Beater” and the sloppy accompaniment item “First Born,” but on their latest record the band ditches their C+ deathcore efforts, and goes through the transformation aggressive bands Poison The Well and Thrice did back in the early 2000’s, and what Pianos Become The Teeth and Hundredth did as of late, and go all in for the Alternative gloss. It’s pulled off well too, except it’s all too familiar of a sound Bring Me The Horizon displayed on Sempiternal. After the shock settles, some of the tracks play a little repetitive and makes the record a chore to get through.
