Cast In Blood “Consumed To Ashes”

This release highlights metalcore tendencies highly reminiscent of late Eighteen Visions. The vocals are super animated and layer respective tunes just like the band did on Obsession. It’s perfect timing too, as the scene heavyweight is slowly starting to make a comeback for the past two years and this will perhaps seem to be a little more relevant. While Cast In Blood has been a relatively new act, they’re focusing on the elements that made metalcore so great in the first place, without unnecessary flare and leads that sometimes aren’t needed, but forced any way to try and showcase skilled technical proficiency. Cast In Blood show that less is more, as long as good songwriting remains the key ingredient.
