This has always been the band’s foundational sound, but on their fourth record Basement become the new Jimmy Eat World. All our work has brought us here if you’ve been following along, and while “Lucky Charm” is no “Bad Apple,” the band still deliver a chunk of songs that have you walking away whistling the choruses. Basement should rise proper with this release, and should consequently see themselves start to play bigger rooms, even though long term fans may still cling onto their earlier releases.
