It’s hard to believe the band has persevered through so much and have arrived at their eleventh record. Just that in its own right is the accomplishment here. Otherwise the record is sensational, from the opening chants of the children’s choir to the closing moments of the last track, Nergal and company deliver the band’s most approachable release, while not sacrificing an inch of their integrity, sustaining blast beats and traditional thrash elements throughout. Behemoth have captured themselves in their stride and this far along in their career it’s great to acknowledge their ability to deliver quality work that could still cater to new fans and also sensationalize legacy fanatics.
