Death metal is a broad term that encapsulates a wide range of traits in sound. In the modern age, bands like Deicide and Cannibal Corpse are classic death metal, while the Beyond Creation’s of this world are hacking their niche to make a name for themselves. It’s a tough sport too, as it seems like only longevity will assist in that regard, as there are countless talented acts that execute shredding lead riffage, and inhuman drum executions and intense double bass and blast beats, but sustaining the performance over time is what seems to cement bands into eternity. It’s longevity that got Aborted to where they are today. While Beyond Creation can certainly rip apart their equipment, only time will tell if this band has what it takes to be a true standout in the scene.
