THE RECENTLY ADDED

Cursive “Vitriola”

Cursive has always been a bit goofy to me, and I’m pretty sure the band would agree with me if I met them and told them that’s how I’d describe them. Their catalogue features a variety of performance offerings, at times presenting themselves as a folky grassroots band, and at other times just acoustic piano. On their latest record, the band lean into their rock and roll tendencies and practically deliver an unedited jam session. There’s a few notable moments that are worth rocking out, but for the most part this is one goofy release that probably won’t garner the band new fans, but will appeal to their diehard fanbase.
