Six records deep, Gorod continues to elevate their performance and contain their skillset into a compact delivery of fury and aggressive death metal. There’s a wide range of execution in this space, and most bands rely on their chops to carry their art to the hands of the masses, but on their latest release Gorod takes it a step further and actually write good songs and fill them with plenty of animated flare. This is a terrific release, worthy of praise and highlight as it stands proudly above the majority of the scene’s releases for 2018 alongside Revocation and Hate Eternal.
