THE RECENTLY ADDED

Extortionist “Sever The Cord”

We sure have come a long way since The Black Sheep. It seems like the band has evolved drastically since their days on We Are Triumphant, and perhaps signing to Stay Sick will be what’s needed to catapult this scene to new heights. Fronz has made an effort to sign plenty of underground beatdown and hardcore hopefuls and pump them full of proper production in both songwriting and packaging. Album opener “Bad Vibes” is a great example of this, with cubed song structure and a chorus that brings to mind the heavier moments of Korn’s Follow The Leader smashed alongside what sounds like Kublai Khan. All of it is executed brilliantly in an effort to bring aggressive hardcore to the mainstream. I’m certainly onboard.
