Sentenced To Burn “The Seven Layers of Skin”

If that opening track didn’t instantly make you think of Slipknot’s debut, you’re definitely off the mark. “All My Enemies” embodies the formula in A-B-C fashion. The rest of the EP is a mixed bag, and it’s obvious the band spent the majority of their creative on certain songs over others, which only cements the logic that most acts are better off dishing three to four tracks at a time before interest starts to wane, until they get a big shot producer who could help take the group’s sound to the next level. The Frank Palmeri track isn’t a highlight, but the band has what it takes to elevate above the baseline competition.
