The band delivers on all cylinders with enough elevated energy to cement themselves as a definite death metal staple. Tracks like “Welcome Oblivion,” and “New Gods” showcase strong writing, that was always hinted at prior, but never quite executed as effective as what’s captured here while the production leaves a stick of dynamite underneath the band. While naming a song “Eye for an Eye” is like a five year old contributing an idea, the record is still a highlight of the year in the aggressive metal space that’s sure to remain one of the year’s most prominent releases.
