Having been listening to the band since 2003 when Victory was pushing “Condemned to Suffer” alongside “The Silent Circus,” I never really got into the band nor understood their relevance until I dove into hardcore and it was evident that AOW weren’t a metal or new era favorite, but instead a crucial part of the underground, metallic hxc movement. While this release won’t convert those who haven’t ever gotten into the band, it’s a testament to their ability to deliver consistently throughout time, as well as keep their brand and moniker alive on notable gigs where hxc truly matters.
