Norma Jean “All Hail”

A long stretch for this moniker and on the band’s eighth release, they finally seem to tame the beast they’ve been trying to conquer since “Redeemer.” There’s been a few promising moments since that follow up to their debut, but nothing quite like the epic efforts contained on this release. “/with_errors” is a major accomplishment for the band, and “Trace Levels of Dystopia” delivers a very daring performance that’s somehow executed flawlessly. I feel comfortable inviting you back to the band’s saddle if you’ve fallen off since ‘03. This one deserves it, even though it’s an obvious far cry from the youthful declaration of their first record.
