There may have been a lot of intention behind this record but it somewhat feels flat and uninspired. Seems like Matt’s let the rest of the band come out of the shed and toss their seasoning on the album, but it’s hardly noticeable and there isn’t much here to catapult the band further than where they already are. Although there’s an impressive body of work, my opinion on Trivium is pretty neutral.
