This sounds like what Opeth did on “Watershed” when they delivered epic folk-type themes pressed between intense methodical, almost black metalish prog rock. Perhaps not as furious as the band’s prior outings, but there’s enough color here to make a lasting impression for diehards and new fans alike with a wide range of wavelengths explored.
