How slapstick fun are these alarm clock riffs? Their last album was a ruthless assault that got the band on the annual TIH and what seems like a pretty sweet deal with Rise Records. But then the lineup got trampled and covid flattened the playing field and sent everyone packing. This is highly reminiscent of old Norma Jean (BTMAKTC era) and is basically just a continuation of that sound in the modern age. The band is covered in slight anonymity which isn’t really helping or hurting and their visuals are a mixed bag, but the songs are definitely there and hopefully the aesthetics will eventually streamline.
