On the band’s fourth full length they finally get it 100% right. Every song is a dreary lingerer, with no trash tracks or fat filler. The band’s always hinted at this potential, but until now just didn’t follow through with the songwriting. This album is the same emo alternative shoegaze we’ve long come to expect from the act, but the arrangements and composition on the album are on an entirely new level. Nothing stands on their own, and this album ranks high on the list of hopefuls for 2020’s AOTY.
