Highly reminiscent of “Planetary Duality” from The Faceless, the South African tech death kings deliver a concrete pile to bulldoze through. It’s a heavy album, but it’s a little stale and just overstays its welcome. This fourteen track mammoth is almost an hour at length, and it’s clear some of these songs should’ve definitely been bagged for another release. Many of the tracks that clock in >4 min could’ve certainly been edited. They just repeat the same verse riffs endlessly, and that intro? 😴 Could’ve been avoided altogether.
