THE RECENTLY ADDED

Full of Hell “Garden of Burning Apparitions”

While “Trumpeting Ecstasy” was my personal favorite moment of the band (where more grooves were prevalent and less noise was present), the band’s latest release extends their grindcore mashed with static in similar terrain. On first listen it sounds like the record has a split personality, at times delivering a full metal assault, and then instantly drawing back to white noise. But this has been Full of Hell’s schtick since their inception, a sound that at times is quite impossible to understand. I don’t know how curious I can possibly be five records in, but for the most part the brutal elements of proper grind are worth sucking up and sticking around for.
