These guys have always been exemplary modern prog lords deserving of praise. However, this one legitimately feels like the band photocopied their phone bill and tried to publish it as their latest novel. Once an instrumental band, Scale the Summit now features strange collection of vocals, each track featuring a different frontman, sandwiched between endless lightsabers worth of guitar solos and wankery. This album is a chore to get through, where bands like Night Verses and Polyphia have long since extended and perfected this craft.
