If you look at this as more of a Gideon’s “Milestone” and not a slam record, it’s actually a much more expansive listen than you’d imagine. I was pleasantly surprised that amidst the monotony of endless breakdowns, there was some refreshing riffage and vocal cadence. Nothing to reconstruct the framework of the modern heavy music community, but enough to keep this release from falling into the gutter with the countless efforts that align to this DNA.
