While it riffs hard, some of the metal and hardcore here sound a bit too rockabilly for me. I’m not sure what I was expecting with this record, perhaps more shriek chords, or just an overall heavier album. Perhaps not this Pantera-esque delivery that didn’t really translate past the late 90’s. It’s clear Malevolence have a great marketing and management team behind them, but this doesn’t really deliver in the way I thought it would. Still have to respect their hustle.
