Lots of self indulgence on the band’s sixth release (6 minute album opener? what?) that makes it obvious the group loves the smell of their own farts. There’s the blatant NIN remix rip in the early parts of the record, which is a feat in its own, but the repetitive lyrics on the track, and basically every song, make this a childish listen. Northlane have become a gateway for folks to get into heavy alternative music, but this one, although elaborate with electronics, seems stale and flat in comparison to the band’s earlier work.
