Machine Head “Of Kingdom And Crown”

It just wouldn’t be a Machine Head album if the band didn’t flex those harmonics that are just so “them” now would it? There’s a few highlights here, especially that one chug moment early on, where you think “oh wait, they get it,” but then it never returns and the band just delivers stock metal material that clarifies why Matt Heafy is slowly rising in the ranks, while legendary bands like this one just keep falling by the wayside. All in it’s a massive release, but doesn’t really do much besides preach to the converted. But hey, there may just be some true MH diehards out there that will gobble up anything Flynn & co. dish up.
