DTG has been working on their brand of technical deathcore with symphonic metal, for as long as I can remember social media. Interesting that they haven’t shifted direction and continue to deliver the same blast beat/breakdown effort at a thrill ride that’s entirely overdone, over-produced and complete overkill. This seems to be happening across every genre (hardcore especially, do you see what’s happening in that department?). But without the proper support and acknowledgment from the community, it feels like all we have are a bunch of random instagram profiles that deliver music every once in a while. As for the jams on this one? I’m probably a bit biased as this is the eighth year I’m covering alternative music somewhat formally, and this type of stuff continues to surface without providing any additional nuance or contribution to the culture of the aggressive music spectrum. This one seems like just for fun, and well, not for me.
