Jesus Piece “…So Unknown”

A fierce ass kicking auditory assault. Fresh metal that keeps twisting and turning in a compact, unique way as each song works its way throughout the record. Yet the compressed twin-like production we’ve seen on similar albums in the last few years by Orthodox, Vatican, Boundaries, and The Acacia Strain unfortunately just makes this another one of “those records,” or “you didn’t know we were operating in this space yet?” for some folks. The reality is that Jesus Piece functions at a much greater scale than their albums. This record is only necessary to maintain the relevancy of the band’s catalog amidst the sea of new releases, to draw attention to their overall existence in the aggressive music landscape. To button things up here, it’s a stomping angry album that delivers that shouldn’t be overlooked.
