While “Crypt of Ice” was one of my favorite releases of 2020, Frozen Soul’s latest is anything but. A tired formula, stacked with unimaginative songs that sound like the local bands that have been opening up for the band on their endless tour cycle. Oh wait, this is the one Matt Heafy had something to do with, and I am not a Trivium enthusiast in the slightest, but it’s an obvious influence. A major, major disappointment.
