This EP follows 2016’s “The Depression Sessions” which featured both Thy Art Is Murder & FFAA and also The Acacia Strain. This one fittingly includes Malevolence and some sweet covers. Sandwiched side by side it is so obvious why Thy Art Is Murder is such a superior band to all the other deathcore hopefuls. There is a way to do this correctly, and it’s not just chugging and growling like fools. This is a must listen for fans of the genre to understand the difference between quality grass fed beef, and well, McDonald’s riff-raff.
