Such crisp songwriting, such thought-provoking grooves on the drums that Chamber’s latest feels like an ode to Ion Dissonance’s “Minus The Herd.” Just check the middle of “Tremble” - does it not? Reference and influence aside, this record is just an awesome metal album, no matter how you spin it. Sure, it sounds like that Orthodox record that dropped last year, but bands like Chamber, Orthodox, Jesus Piece, Vatican, Vein, Sanction, and the obvious End and now (hopefully) Better Lovers, are really cementing themselves as the lords of a particular segment in metal’s history that hopefully will be understood as much as it is regulated to the pubs & grills.
