The rudely titled affair plays out for a half hour in just about the same key as the entire catalogue. I prefer the band’s first album, when we didn’t really know what this was, or if it was going to be a permanent home for Pat. Records like this have me reflect on my own work. How much of it is self indulgent, and how much of it is aimed to elevate the game? Or is it just not that serious? Fiddlehead deliver a nice record, but it’s a rather thin effort that has me going back to the first album. “Welcome to the Situation” was also, NOT my favorite track.
