Nasty and Deez Nuts both have the same trajectory where I consistently see them release new material, they’re very active road warriors with relevant bands (especially in Europe), but they just can’t seem to break out on their own outside of festivals and Emmure-ish tour packages. As a collective these things work, but these type of bands will never have what a band like Deafheaven has for instance, where we could go watch them play for two hours with no openers. A nice album cover, a decent heavy hardcore record, but nothing the band didn’t do on 2020’s “Menace” or the even angrier “Realigion.”
