“The Silence Beyond Life” is the obvious standout track with that alternative chorus, but otherwise it’s a standard fare Fuming Mouth record that’s nowhere near as grandiose as “The Grand Descent.” Feels like the band needed a record, and they did, but they definitely exhausted most of their chops leading up to this one. I did like the warped vocals at the onset of both sides of the vinyl. Not knowing the songs and getting the album on Halloween a few days early was a pretty cool and dark experience with this thing. And that last track’s alright, didn’t really think it was an album highlight.
