Opeth “The Last Will And Testament”

For as much as I enjoyed Opeth’s latest masterpiece, it holds little strength to “Heritage” and the four records that followed. Opeth’s journey as a progressive rock outfit sandwiched in a metal landscape continues to expand with their legacy now surpassing fourteen full length albums. While comparing this release to their prior efforts is senseless, marking it as a truly entertaining piece of media is critical at a time where many artists just pump and dump releases for the mere sake of existing. And yes, there’s some death growls and actual flutes provided by courtesy of Jethro Tull’s Ian Anderson.
