Doomriders - "Grand Blood"

So I'm a sucker for anything and everything Converge, from Old Man Gloom to horrible splits with Hellchild, that it was a no brainer to hop on the Doomriders bandwagon. All the other previous releases didn't really make an impression, but it's something about Nate's bass tone that really resonates on "Grand Blood." The low end snarls back in each track and it's almost as if the production is designed to put it in the forefront. Over vocals, over drums, it simply reigns supreme which is very rare in many metal and hardcore productions. "Bad Vibes," "Dead Friends," and the title track all make an impact and are a great place to start for those not familiar with the band. Not exactly Converge, but not Rise music either.
