Type O Negative - "October Rust"

Best of their collection, "October Rust" is Type O at its finest. Verse after verse, Steele delivers the goods and each chorus is more infectious than the last. From the haunting shrill that lingers in the background in "Green Man," to the final breakdown of "Burnt Flowers Fallen," some of the most unique and sonic soundscapes are to be noted. Whether it's part doom or half sludge is really up for debate. Are they punk or are they just avant-alternative? Whatever it is, each track is so memorable and epic in proportion that it would be foolish to list honorable mentions. There has never been anything else quite like this on the market.
