Blacklisted - "When People Grow, People Go"

Blacklisted's brand of meat and potatoes hardcore strikes again! These guys have been hyping up this release since last summer's HXC run, and it certainly doesn't disappoint. Clocking in right at 20 minutes, there really isn't a whole lot that can go wrong when each track (aside from the title track) hits less than two minutes a pop. The lyrics are substantial and should be read through the first listen. This guy's writing has definitely matured since the previous LP's. Musicianship is solid as these guys have been jamming together for years. It's odd to think that the Sputnik reviews and the rest of the elitist community mentioned that there's a hit "here or there" and that the album "leaves one wanting more." I'm not sure what people were expecting, but when you go to Peter Luger's it's safe to say you know what you're eating for dinner. Get bent.
