Turnover - "Peripheral Vision"

Maybe it's TOO soft for me, but Turnover's latest is like a feather in the wind. It's one thread being pulled away from completely falling apart. Part folk-part indie gimme, and a few strong hooks for good measure and we're rolling along. I'm sure those just getting an interest into indie tunes will lap this up, but for those of us who have been around for the past fifteen years eating up everything every label from Razor & Tie to Century Media and every black market roster in between has dished out, this is just a few strums on the guitar and a soft baby coo for the vocal approach. Not sure what all the reviews are raving about and why this stands out as such a highlight during this string of new releases. PS they're not pop punk and they're definitely not the voice of their generation. This is what an Arby's cherry turnover would sound like if it could play guitar and sing at the same time.
